Lisbon - A perfect location for your conference

An existing destination with something for everyone and every budget!

It is that time of year again when we all have to start looking at the annual event diary, discuss budgets and plan the venues/destinations.

With destinations in mind, I have just returned from a fantastic site visit of Lisbon and want to tell you all about it.

Portugal Jeep Safari It is little wonder that Lisbon is such a popular destination for groups as it is a short two and a half hour hop from London with no shortage of flights and on the same time zone as the UK.

The city abounds with history and beautifully ornate buildings taken from a truly exciting past.

By contrast the modern, cosmopolitan Park of Nations is home to Portugal's famous Oceanarium, a massive convention space and a plethora of bars and restaurants - all connected by cable cars.

For the perfect beach and city balance, the 5-star resorts of Estoril and Cascais are a mere thirty minutes away from Lisbon.

Portugal Pena Palace I visited numerous hotels ranging from large congress properties in the centre of the city to boutique retreat castles on the coast, all of which offer excellent conference facilities and beautifully appointed bedrooms with high speed internet access for the business traveller.

For evenings there is a wide choice of dinner venues for both informal and formal functions.

The Winery at Kais offers a unique traditional cuisine experience in a very relaxed atmosphere, whilst the Palacio de Xabregas makes a wonderfully elegant gala dinner venue for a private party of 30 to 600 - a real WOW factor!

Lisbon Leisure wise we can arrange exciting and unusual ground programmes within the city, along the coast or into the Sintra Mountains.

Motorbike and sidecar tours of the old quarter are great fun. Further options range from Jeep Safari Treasure Hunts in the countryside to a leisurely afternoon of tile painting.
