Computers and laptops

You should be able to use your 110 volts laptop in Britain without any problems as nowadays most run on both 110 volts (as found in North America), and on 220 volts (as found in Europe). Although the voltage is universal, you will still need an adapter to plug your computer into an electrical outlet.

Email and Internet access

The internet is widely available in Britain and you can often log on from your hotel, which may have a wireless (Wi-Fi) connection in the rooms or a computer suite offering access to guests. Alternatively, you can access the internet using wireless broadband (Wi-Fi) services that you can access in public places (hotspots) such as airports, motorway service stations and city centres.
