London and Britain Tour 8-Day Incentive
Arrival Meet at a London airport and transferred to central London for a guided panoramic city tour (it will help orientate guests to the City), returning for a lunch at the Russell hotel prior to check-in.
Days 1-3 (Explore London) Accommodation on Bed & Breakfast basis in double rooms at the 4* Hotel Russell at Russell Square. Right next to the tube station on the Piccadilly line offering easy access to Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus and Oxford Circus.
London Passes inclusive of public transport (Underground and bus) in Zones 1 to 6 and guidebook, allowing entrance to the majority of London sites. Group discounts for theatre shows, river tours (day and evening), panoramic city coach tours and a wide choice of restaurants may be pre-booked for inclusion within your programme.
Days 4-8 (Best of Britain Tour) Private 5 day tour in own mini-bus together with driver and guide, inclusive of access to main places of interest on your route. Lunch and dinner may be pre-booked for inclusion within your programme according to your wish.
Day 4 (AM collection from the Russell Hotel) Visit Cambridge with its historic colleges, well manicured gardens, chapels, courtyards and dining halls. Stamford, a beautiful town developed by the Romans, the Saxons, the Danes and Normans and dramatic Burghley House one of England's greatest Elizabethan houses on your way to York for your first two nights. Circled by imposing mediaeval walls York has preserved so much Medieval structure that its centre is like entering a living museum.
Nights 4 & 5 (York) Bed and Breakfast accommodation in double rooms at a 4* quality hotel. Centrally located within walking distance of the old historic city centre and York Minster Cathedral.
Day 5 Explore the magnificent Peak District, a landscape of moor land, deep green valleys and rough stone crags, where almost every hilltop is marked with prehistoric huts and one or two of the fine Derbyshire houses: Chatsworth, magnificent 17th century home of the Duke of Devonshire, Haddon Hall, or Hardwick Hall, 16th century home of the much married "Bess of Hardwick".
Day 6 Crossing the Pennines en-route to Chester. Bed and Breakfast accommodation at a 4* quality hotel. Again located centrally and within walking distance of the old Roman town and city sites of interest.
Visit 15th century Little Moreton Hall on your way to Chester for your night's stay. Built by the Romans 2000 years ago Chester has more archaeological and architectural treasures than any other city in Britain. See the well-preserved Roman city walls, the fine red sandstone Cathedral, the Roman amphitheatre and the galleried half-timbered tiers of shops known as "The Rows".
Day 7 Heading south via Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace to Bath. Bed and Breakfast accommodation at a 4* quality hotel in the centre of Bath.
On your fourth day visit Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Cotswolds and the world heritage city of Bath - a lively and beautiful city in which to spend the night. On the fifth day, return to London via the pretty village of Lacock, Britain's darkest prehistoric mystery Stonehenge and the cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester.
Day 8 Return to London for overnight night stay in central London or at the airport subject to your flight times the following day.
