British Airways and US Airways are launching a codeshare arrangement which will allow British Airways customers access to nearly 40 destinations in North America and the Caribbean.
The agreement will also mean US Airways passengers will be able to use BA services to more than 70 destinations throughout Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
The codeshare will initially cover nearly all of the two carriers’ transatlantic flights. BA customers can book the US Airways’ services to Charlotte and Philadelphia from 18 European destinations for travel from 14 May.
Similarly, US Airways’ passengers will see the carrier’s code placed on BA flights to London from 21 destinations in North America. All remaining destinations will be phased in by the end of the summer.
Members of BA Executive Club and US Airways Dividend Miles loyalty programmes will be able to earn points when travelling on codeshare flights operated by the other airline.
