British Airways is to begin routes from London City to Rotterdam and Florence from March 2014.
The carrier will also add extra daily flights from the Docklands airport to Amsterdam, Edinburgh and Zurich.
BA plans to add three new Embraer aircraft to its fleet at London City, with the first two 98-seat jets arriving in May. When the third Embraer arrives, BA will have 17 aircraft based at the airport.
The new Rotterdam route will run five times per week, while the service to Florence will operate four times per week. Both services are scheduled to start on 31 March 2014.
The new routes will increase the number of destinations BA serves from London City to 25.
At the same time, the airline is also increasing capacity on its London City to Dusseldorf route by replacing the current Saab turboprop aircraft with an Embraer jet.
