British Airways has opened its new Galleries lounge for premium-class passengers at Newark Airport.
The new “Galleries-style” lounge is located next to gates B50-58, from where British Airways now operate flights, and has views over the airport.
The facility features seating for 177 guests, with private dining booths for First travellers, and self-service dining for Club World customers.
The lounge includes two Silver Bars and a deli, washrooms with showers, and work and entertainment zones with TVs, newspapers, magazines and free Wi-Fi.
Meanwhile BA has also started to refresh 14 of its 21 B767 aircraft, with the first refurbished aircraft now operating on the London-Newark route.
Features include refurbished sidewalls, bulkheads and toilets, new carpets and curtains, as well as recessed ceilings with larger overhead lockers allowing extra luggage space and new lighting throughout.
