Sterling Travel : News : Iberia pilot strike on 18 and 29 December 2011

Iberia pilot strike on 18 and 29 December 2011

 16 Dec 2011

Iberia logoThe union representing pilots at Iberia Airlines has called for strikes on 18 and 29 December.

All IB5000 series flights operated by Vueling, all flights operated by Iberia Regional Air Nostrum (IB8000 - IB8999) and all code-share flights operated by other carriers (IB7000 - IB7999), will operate as normal.

Iberia will authorise a full refund for those passengers due to travelling on the 18 December regardless of whether or not their flight is affected by the strike, provided it is requested up to and including the 31 January 2012.

Date changes will be permitted if they are requested by the 31 January 2012 for travel commencing up until 24 March 2012.  The condition is that it is an Iberia ticket (075) and that it contains a sector confirmed for travel for 18 December.

In the event of date changes for flights up to 9 January, you may book in any class within the same cabin as ticketed. For flights from the 10 January, changes must be made in the same class as ticketed.

Passengers are advised to check with the airline if they are due to travel on those days.

The latest information on the strikes and affected flights is available on the Iberia website.
