SAS boosts free hold luggage allowance

SAS Scandinavian AirlinesSAS Scandinavian Airlines has increased its free hold baggage allowance and has introduced a new baggage concept for all bookings with departure on and after 1 October 2010.

The new baggage concept applies on all flights operated by SAS Group, i.e SAS, Blue1 and Widerøe.

As before, baggage is always included in the ticket and passengers can bring at least one checked bag and one cabin bag free of charge. The baggage rules are the same regardless of destination for departures on and after 1 October 2010.

From 1 October, economy passengers can check-in 23kg, which is an increase of 3kg. Allowances have doubled for Economy Extra and Business Class passengers to 46kg and 64kg respectively.
