Ryanair introduces mobile boarding passes

 15 Jul 2014

Ryanair logoRyanair has launched its new mobile app, allowing passengers to use their smartphone to check-in and as an electronic boarding pass.

The app, which is available in English, Italian and Spanish, is available to download onto both iPhone and Android devices.

Boarding passes will be accessible offline, and one device can be used to carry multiple passes. Travellers will still be required to check-in online before their scheduled departure.

Ryanair has warned that a small number of airports they fly to don’t offer mobile check-in services. The airports that cannot accept Ryanair mobile boarding passes are:

  • Agadir
  • Essaouira
  • Fez
  • Nador
  • Oujda
  • Marrakesh
  • Rabat
  • Tangier
  • Zaragoza
  • Alghero
  • Rome Ciampino
  • Kefalonia
  • Volos

Passengers traveling from the above listed airports must check-in online and print out a paper boarding pass for their flight(s).
