Qantas has released ticket sales for its forthcoming non-stop service between London Heathrow and Perth, with flights commencing on 24 March 2018.
The route, which will operate as London-Perth-Melbourne, will be served by the carrier’s new B787 Dreamliner aircraft.
The new service will take on the QF9/QF10 flight code currently used on Qantas’ daily A380 London-Dubai-Melbourne route, which itself will cease in March next year.
Flight times for the new route are as follows:
- QF9 departs Melbourne at 15:20, arriving into Perth at 17:20, then departs Perth at 18:50 and lands into Heathrow at 05:10 the following day
- QF10 departs Heathrow at 13:30, arriving into Perth at 13:15 the following day, then departs Perth at 14:45 and arrives into Melbourne at 20:10
The new non-stop service will be just under 14,500km in length, making it the world’s third longest commercial passenger flight. It will also be the world’s longest Dreamliner flight.
