Nordic carrier Primera Air has announced plans to launch transatlantic routes from Birmingham and Stansted next year.
The airline will offer daily flights to New York Newark from all three bases starting in April 2018, as well as four flights per week to Boston.
Services will be operated by Airbus A321neo aircraft, configured with economy and Premium seating, and with wifi access and the option to charge devices on board.
The carrier’s forthcoming Birmingham-Newark route follows United's decision to drop the route from this October. There are currently no scheduled non-stop flights from Stansted to New York or Boston.
