Flybe to offer Cardiff-London City route during Severn Tunnel closure

 1 Apr 2016

FlybeFlybe will offer up to four daily “rescue flights” between Cardiff and London City during the six-week closure of the Severn Tunnel later this year.

The tunnel is to close for rail electrification works between 12 September and 21 October 2016, meaning rail travellers will be diverted via Gloucester or onto rail replacement bus services.

Flybe says it “has stepped in quickly” to offer up to four daily flights on weekdays and two on weekends between the Welsh and English capitals.
