EasyJet Plus passengers will be able to take a second bag into the cabin from 19 March.
The move will allow members of the budget carrier's loyalty programme (EasyJet Plus), or those who have bought a Flexifare ticket or have upfront or extra legroom seats, to take on board a handbag or laptop-sized second piece of luggage .
This can be stored under the seat in front, although those in the front row or in over-wing seats will need to use the overhead locker.
All EasyJet passengers can still take on board a cabin bag of up to 56cm x 45cm x 25cm in size and with no weight limit.
The EasyJet Plus card gives passengers free seat selection, Speedy Boarding and fast bag drop for an annual fee of £149.
