Lufthansa Group member Austrian Airlines is set to begin its first route from Birmingham Airport next year.
Service to Vienna will begin on 1 January 2020 and it will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. For summer 2020 it will increase to a daily service.
An Embraer 195 aircraft will have eight Business class seats and 112 in Economy class.
Flights will depart Vienna at 11:05, arriving in Birmingham at 12:30. The return will leave at 13:15 and arrive at 16:35.
The service will replace the current one by the Lufthansa Group’s low-cost subsidiary Eurowings flights.
